HubSpot is the integration that goes furthest in Alsona. As well as receiving data, it is the only connected tool an agent can use as a prospect source, which means an agent can build its target list straight from your CRM instead of a LinkedIn search or a CSV.
Where it lives
Click your account name at the bottom left and choose Integrations. When it is connected the card shows a Manage button and an on/off toggle.
How to set it up
To set up Hubspot, you will click "Manage", which will then take you to the settings. As a first step, you will be prompted to provide Hubspot permission to integrate with Alsona.
Once access has been provided, you will choose which profiles you wish to export to Hubspot from Alsona. You have three options:
When an invite sent
When connected
When reply received
You also have an option to only send profiles where emails have been collected as part of the workflow.
If you choose this option, be sure to include "Find business email" towards the start of every workflow you build, so that you do not miss out on relevant leads being exported to Hubspot.
Using HubSpot as a prospect source
Go to Agents and click Create Agent.
On the "Where should this agent find prospects?" screen, choose Integrations.
HubSpot appears as the available option. Select it.
Choose which senders this source should run on.
Decide whether to tick Include Locked Profiles. Leave it unchecked unless you deliberately want to contact people another agent messaged in the last 14 days.
Click Continue and set up the agent as normal.
The agent then works from your HubSpot contacts rather than finding new ones.
That makes it the right choice for re-engagement, for working a list your team has already qualified, and for anything where the CRM is the system of record.
When to use it, and when not to
Use it when your target list already exists in HubSpot and keeping the two in step matters more than finding new companies.
Do not use it when you want the agent to find people you do not already know about. That is what 360 Signal Search is for, and the two are different jobs.
If you want both, run two agents. One sourced from HubSpot for the known list, one from signal search for new companies.
Before you launch
Blacklist your existing customers first. A CRM export contains people you already sell to, and an agent working from HubSpot will happily pitch them. See "How & Why to Use a Blacklist".
